“The story is woven together with many engaging and singable new tunes. With my co-creators Jay Brazeau and Kim Selody we are ready to take the young at heart on a wonderful feline adventure.” - Fred Penner

The Cat Came Back was originally commissioned and developed at Manitoba Theatre for Young People under the Artistic Direction of Leslee Silverman. The World Premiere of The Cat Came Back will be February 1, 2012 at MTYP in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In this fanciful tale inspired by the song Fred made famous, we meet a merry band of musicians who must deal with their grumpy neighbor Mr. Johnson and his mysterious cat. Together, they learn about the joys and challenges of friendship, and how we can take care of each other. Outstanding feline puppetry and masterful music make this a show you and your family won’t want to miss! Suitable for children 3 - 10 years of age (and their parents!). All audience members must have a ticket. No babes in arms.More
